House Painters on Sydney's North Shore

The North Shore covers two quite different kinds of housing, and they need different approaches. Closer to the harbour, on the Lower North Shore, there are more apartments and older homes on tight blocks with salt air and difficult access. Further up the line, in Ku-ring-gai and around Hornsby, blocks get bigger and leafier, and most jobs are established brick and weatherboard family homes under heavy tree cover.

K Painting quotes every North Shore job on site, so the price reflects the access, the condition of each surface and the preparation it needs, not a rate per square metre guessed over the phone.

What we see most on North Shore homes

  • Mould and mildew on shaded south- and east-facing walls, treated before any paint goes on
  • Weathered timber eaves, fascias and window frames that need scraping, filling and priming
  • Strata requirements on apartment jobs: approvals, lift bookings and work hours
  • Older paint layers on pre-1970s homes that may contain lead, discussed before any sanding
